David Reynard, born in a small eastern Ohio village, moved to Greater Cincinnati in 1993 at age 20, embracing his identity after coming out. With degrees in Building Restoration, Computer Programming, and Computer Science, he excelled as an IT Manager and multi-role professional for 22 years until his company closed during COVID. Facing unemployment, his father’s death, and a home crisis, David’s resilience shone as he managed repairs and caregiving. Diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer and given 30 days to live, he fought back with spirituality, humor, and determination, finding strength, authenticity, and happiness, thriving against all odds.
